Jonathan Christian
Director of Student Ministries
Within a period of 72 hours, Jonathan's life changed dramatically. At the end of February 2010, Jonathan got married to his beautiful wife Courtney and three days later, while on their honeymoon, Jonathan accepted the call to become the Director of Student Ministries at FPCO. Jonathan loves hanging out with middle school, high school and college students and he loves playing sports and traveling with Courtney. In fact, any free chance he gets you can find him playing basketball or ultimate frisbee, watching football (Go 'Noles) or planning the next time he can travel over to Europe. Although he loves all of these things, Jonathan feels most alive when he has the opportunity to share his gift of making the good news of Jesus Christ come alive to students.

Rachael Aldrich
Administrative Assistant for Student Ministry
Born in Florida but having grown up in South Carolina, Rachael joined the Student Ministry staff in 2004. She began by serving as the Middle and High School Female Coordinator due to her love for students and helping guide them into a deeper relationship with God. These days Rachael can be found manning the office and taking care of the administrative tasks for the Student Ministries to support the staff in order to free them up so they can love kids better. Rachael has always had a love for theatre acting as well as a good adventure. But her favorite things in the world to do are spend time with her husband, OJ and make her sweet little girl Anna Jude, laugh. Rachael also loves to sing, can't carry a tune, but believes with her whole heart that the louder she gets, the better she sounds...ask her husband how he feels about that.

Katy Becker
High School Coordinator
Katy is an Orlando native who literally has come full circle, becoming the High School Coordinator of the ministry she attended while she herself went to Edgewater High School. She left Orlando to attend Presbyterian College in South Carolina and then spent a year in Vermont training horses after graduating from PC in 2006. After living her childhood dream with horses, the Lord called her back to Orlando in 2007 to attend Reformed Theological Seminary and ultimately to First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. Over the years Katy went from simply volunteering, to an intern, and then in her last semester of seminary to a full time position within the student ministry. She enjoys running, the sky, the book of Deuteronomy, causing scenes, and laughing loud. While she still deeply loves horses, her passion is making scripture come alive for students, walking with them, guiding them to a palpable faith in a God who is more real than the ground we stand on.

Matt Luxon
High School Assistant
Matt Luxon is the assistant high school staff member for the H.S. guys. He is a die hard soccer fan and love doing outdoor activities such as fishing, frisbee, golfing, and surfing. Matt spent spring semester of '11 doing mission work in Spain, Africa, and India. God has gifted him with a heart for serving and he is looking very forward to building relationships with staff and students within the student ministry. He is very excited about this year and what God has in store!

Steve Eastwood
Middle School Coordinator
Steve was introduced to the wonderful world of FPCO student ministries in July of 2010. Since then, his life has been full of all kinds of surprises and adventures! He and his wife Amber, whom he married in 2007, celebrated the birth of their little girl, Charlotte in December of 2010. They also are the proud parents of Otter, the family dog. When Steve is not hanging out with his awesome Middle School friends you can find him enjoying one of his many other hobbies and interests. Namely, spending time with his family, watching movies, traveling the globe, playing sports, listening to music, playing the guitar, and supporting his favorite sports teams. Mainly his teams from his home town of Buffalo, New York. If you're ever looking for someone to provide snowboarding lessons for your next family ski trip, Steve is your man!

Sara Pate
Middle School Assistant
Sara Pate is from Rome, GA and moved to Orlando, FL after interning in 2010 with the FPCO Student Ministry Summer Intern Program. During that summer the Lord laid a special call on her heart for middle ministry. After transferring from Auburn to UCF in the fall of 2010 (She is still an Auburn Tiger at heart), she became the middle school assistant. She loves hanging out with middle and high school students and all things pink and girlie. Don’t let the pink fool you though, as Sara Pate has mad skills on the basketball court and would love to school you.
